The author analyzes 175 juvenile sex offender cases from an urban Midwest region to examine the effects of sex offender legislation on treatment. The study focuses on the implications of dispositional decision-making by examining the relationships of initial charges, dispositional charges, and the resulting treatment and/or services provided to juvenile sex offenders.
